In an effort to improve the delivery of healthcare services to limited-English proficient (LEP) Californians, the San Bernardino County Medical Society renewed its participation in a collaborative of 28 physician and medical organizations from across the state. The group is called the Medical Leadership Council on Cultural Proficiency.
The national medical community lost one of its finest members and fiercest advocates when, on May 2, Ronald Bangasser, MD, passed away after struggling with cancer. We cherish the memory of our distinctive leader, physician and friend.
The Medical Leadership Council on Cultural Proficiency, including the San Bernardino County Medical Society, works to improve language access in healthcare and to increase the diversity and cultural proficiency of the state's healthcare workforce.
