On May 8, the Los Angeles County Medical Association hosted a reception for Assemblymember Felipe Fuentes. In addition to LACMA members, he also visited with attendees from the California Medical Association, the Cooperative of American Physicians Mutual Protection Trust, and the California Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.

Fuentes represents the 39th state Assembly district. His most influential committee assignments include the Assembly Committee on Rules, the Committee on Labor and Employment, the Committee on Banking and Finance, the Committee on Jobs, Economic Development, and the Economy.

Attendees were especially interested in simply establishing a relationship with the Assemblymember, who, as a new legislator, has not had time to build up a track record on healthcare issues.
