Attorney Gregory Abrams discusses the physicians' impairment program and other subjects.
On Wednesday, February 27, Attorney Gregory Abrams addressed over 30
medical staff leaders, physicians and administrators from hospitals in
Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. He discussed such varied topics
as the decision by the Medical Board of California to abolish its
physicians' impairment Diversion Program, recent developments in
court-made law regarding peer review and how a whistleblower is defined
in amendments to existing California law, AB635.
Mr. Abrams is General Counsel for the Institute for Medical Quality and
is a private practice attorney for physicians and medical staffs. He
served as legal counsel for the CMA for 15 years.
