Were these treatments truly fraudulent or did the practitioners believe in their unusual methods?
Join us at the Southern California Medical Museum Annual Open House,
at 2 pm on Sunday, April 27, for a trip to the past. You'll learn from
Hans Davidson, MD, and Stan Korfmacher, MD, about the pills, potions,
plasters and poisons that were presented in the past as cures for all
medical problems. See up close some of the electrical devices that
shocked the public with promises of relief of their ailments. Were
these treatments truly fraudulent or did the practitioners believe in
their unusual methods?
As always, admission is free; docent tours
and light refreshments will follow the discussion. The Southern
California Medical Museum is located at the San Bernardino County
Medical Society, 3993 Jurupa Avenue, Riverside. Please RSVP to
951/787-7700.
