Physicians and representatives from San Bernardino County hospitals attended the quarterly Medical Staff Forum on February 27, 2008 at the Inland Empire Conference Room in Riverside. Guest speaker Greg Abrams, esq., provided a legal update on medical staff issues including: the state's audit of Medical Board finances; status of the Medical Board's Diversion Program; status of the Lumetra/Medical Board Study of California's Peer Review System; and AB 632, new legislative protections for "whistleblower" medical staff members.
