The RCMA has been a strong supporter of expanding the current biomedical sciences program at UCR to a full-fledged medical school. The association donated $25,000 to support this effort.
Grey came to Riverside in July from UC Davis and provided attendees with an update on planning for the proposed School of Medicine at UCR. He thanked the RCMA for its support and endorsement. "It has made a big difference and, on behalf of the university, I want to thank you," he said.
UCR is engaged in the final planning stage for the school. RCMA Executive Committee members S. Ava Mahapatra, MD, Del Henninger, MD, Harold Jackson, DO, and David Friscia, MD, were among the many medical, university and community-group representatives enjoying the event.
