Meet the four honorees at the San Bernardino County Medical Society June event.

Peggy Fritzsche, MD
Nicholas P. Krikes, MD, Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Medical Society
This award is given for sustained interest and participation in one or more activities of the society over and above that expected by the membership at large. Dr. Fritzsche's colleagues honor her for many years of generous support and voluntary participation in SBCMS and organized medicine.

W. Benson Harer Jr., MD
Merlin A. Hendrickson, MD, Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Community
This award is presented to an outstanding member who has displayed sustained interest and participation in one or more community activities over and above that expected of the membership at large. Dr. Harer is honored for his development of the Tel-Med library, his contributions to education and the arts, and his remarkable dedication to the health of our community.

Edward Dainko, MD
William L. Cover, MD, Award for Outstanding Contribution to Medicine
This award is bestowed upon a physician member who has displayed forward-looking, pioneering ideas; enterprise; enthusiasm; and prolonged professional stature. Dr. Dainko's dedication to the improvement of health conditions for transplant patients and a lifetime of service to the people of San Bernardino County are deeply appreciated.

Dennis Park
Outstanding Citizen Award
This honor is given to a layperson who has exhibited sustained interest and participation in one or more medical-related activities that have benefited the members of the community, and/or demonstrated outstanding devotion to community work, and/or devoted a career of service to the Inland Empire. Mr. Park is recognized for his service to medical education, his leadership of the Loma Linda University Alumni Association, and especially for epitomizing a caring citizen who works for the benefit of others.
